Senior Class Gift Committee is Forming!
University of Delaware students are invited to participate in the Senior Class Gift Committee for the Class of 2010. Serving on this committee is part of a longstanding University tradition.
The Senior Class Gift is a student-led campaign to raise money for the University of Delaware. This tradition of giving back unites seniors in support of their undergraduate education. This is not just a senior event. It's a commitment that begins a lifetime of involvement with UD—the first step in the transition from students to alumni. The Senior Class Gift Committee (SCGC) is comprised of students who are leaders across campus students who are passionate about UD. They serve as ambassadors for philanthropy and educate their peers about giving back. The committee is also responsible for selecting the class gift each year. All undergraduate students are welcome, including juniors, sophomores, and freshmen.
Recruitment for the 2010 initiative has started and all students are invited to get involved and be a part of this initiative! A training session will be held on Friday, October 9, 2009 from 4-8 p.m. in the conference room at the Center for Composite Studies. Dinner will be provided and pre-registration is required.
During the training session, students will learn more about the Senior Class Gift and have an opportunity to take part in the Class of 2010 gift selection process.
Volunteers interested in signing up can send an email to Nina Bonano at ncbonano@udel.edu.
