New Ba Degree in Public Policy

The School of Urban Affairs and Public Policy is launching a new BA Degree in Public Policy this academic year!

One of the courses is Citizens, Community and Change, UAPP 220.  It will be taught on T/Th from 12:30 to 1:45 in 49 Memorial Hall this Fall.  This may very well be the DECADE OF ACTIVE CITIZENSHIP in the United States.The recent presidential campaign ushered in new and innovative tools to reach millions of citizens, many of them 18 to 25 and engaged them in citizen activism and civic work! 

The national government is attempting to address some of the most
profound policy issues that may very well chart the future quality of life economically and socially for generations ofAmericans to come!  Citizens, Community and Change is THE course that will help YOU to understand what the reciprocalobligations are between individuals and their government in a democratic society and examine the critical social and politicalcontexts in which policy choices are made.  Learn about the variety of ways citizens, as individuals and as members of communities,can influence and shape public policies!

Student Football Ticket Information

Complimentary football tickets for University of Delaware  students will be available for pick-up throughout the week in advance of all Blue Hens home games. Student tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis subject to availability through the box offices in the Trabant University Center and the Bob Carpenter Center. There is a limit of one ticket per student with a valid UD identification card. A valid ID must be presented upon pick-up, and students cannot pick up tickets for other students.

Advance ticket pick-up only applies to the game being played in a given week. Tickets to future home games will be available the week in advance of those particular games.

Gen. Powell served as the first African-American chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and was appointed secretary of state by President George W. Bush, becoming, at that time, the most powerful African-American ever to hold office. A four-star general, Gen. Powell's numerous awards include two Presidential Medals of Freedom and he is the author of his best-selling autobiography, My American Journey.
